“We are raising — we need to look professional.” — Shiva, Founder of New LanternNew Lantern came to us with solid ingredients: a clear founder vision, an outdated deck, a detailed Notion knowledge base, and a team we could interview. What they lacked was cohesion — the pieces of the story existed, but they weren’t yet pulled into a single investor-ready narrative.
No deck theme — aside from a logo, there was no consistent visual system. We built a full deck theme from scratch.Scattered narrative — strong story foundation (clear founder–market fit) but spread across docs, slides, and conversations. It needed consolidation into one investor-ready thread.Critical slides — the Problem needed a visual, quantified framing (we calculated how much time radiologists waste on admin tasks), while GTM required exploring a few ways of presenting a big vision clearly for investors.
We pulled the scattered storylines into one cohesive investor narrative. Instead of leading with technical detail, we reframed the pitch around:- Problem urgency — making the pain point visual and quantified- Solution clarity — automation that directly boosts efficiency and revenue- Traction and vision — positioning New Lantern not just as a product, but as a long-term workflow platform
We first built a clear wireframe of the deck and iterated it with the founder until it was ~70% right. This created alignment on story and sequence before moving into design.Once the story was in place, we developed a consistent deck theme:- Explored dark vs light and alternated for rhythm- Suggested a techy look using logo colors plus an accent green- Created layouts that felt structured and credible- Integrated product videos, converted to GIFs, to make the deck feel alive in presentations
We worked closely with the founder and team: interviewing them together and separately, reviewing their docs, and iterating versions until the story felt sharp and investor-ready. This also freed the founder to focus on investor calls while we shaped the deck.
The redesigned deck helped New Lantern:- Close a $19M Series A led by Benchmark- Give the founder confidence presenting during a busy fundraise- Relieve the founder of the burden of consolidating storylines and coordinating input from the team- Establish a repeatable deck system for future raises and sales decks
